Welcome

These terms govern your use of Heirloom Chapters, where families gather stories into chapters and printed keepsakes, operated by Heirloom Chapters, Inc. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an organizer account. Contributors of any age may contribute content through magic links sent by the organizer.

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you and your family members submit. By using Heirloom Chapters, you grant us a limited license to:

• — Store and display your content within the platform
• — Generate PDFs and printed materials you request
• — Process content through AI features when you opt in

Organizer Responsibilities

As an organizer, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from family members before adding their email addresses and inviting them to contribute. You should only add people who have agreed to participate.

Acceptable Use

Heirloom Chapters is designed for family storytelling. You agree not to use the platform for spam, harassment, illegal content, or commercial purposes unrelated to family storytelling.

Subscriptions & Payments

Paid plans are billed annually or as one-time purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Print Orders

Print orders are fulfilled by our printing partner, Lulu, and ship by standard mail to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia for a flat shipping charge shown at checkout. A cancellation is honored while the order has not yet entered production (typically within an hour of checkout); after that, refunds are case by case, and a damaged or defective copy is reprinted free within 30 days of delivery. Delivery times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers.

Service Availability

We strive to keep Heirloom Chapters available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of your content within 30 days.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
